Rainbow Democratic Club Statement on the death of Osama Bin Laden

My fellow Americans, nearly 10 years ago the biggest act of terrorism in US History was committed on our soil. We have grown together as a nation and helped each other heal as much as possible. On Sunday evening, our President Barack Obama, announced that after years of searching we had finally received appropriate intelligence that allowed our Navy S.E.A.L.S the opportunity to bring justice to all those lives lost and families who are still aching from that treacherous morning.

The Rainbow Democratic Club of Central Florida is grateful to the U.S. Armed Forces, our National Security team, the International Global Intelligence community and President Barack Obama for their hard work and diligence in resolving this matter.

The death of Osama Bin Laden marks a victory for those that seek peace and tranquility in the world. While we understand that there is a lot of work still remaining to ensure the safety of our nation, we stand beside President Obama and his leadership team to lead our country in the direction of Hope.

As Pauline Kezer once said “When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better.” We ask that you help us say thank you to our President by getting involved and making a difference in your community so that one day, we will stand as One American Family.
